But, the first daughter of US president Barack Obama found her name trending around much of the world on Thursday, after a video surfaced showing the 18-year-old smoking what reports are claiming is a joint.

First Daughter: Malia Obama Turns Wild And Partying

According to the Radar Online reported that the Malia Obama the eldest daughter, 18, had been caught smoking during a Bryson Tiller set at the Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago on July 31.

The US gossip site quoted Jerrdin Selwyn, an eyewitness, who said: “I caught Malia smoking pot and I have the pictures to prove it. You could smell the marijuana smoke.”

“I saw some young guy hand her a cigarette and she took at least one hit.” The teen also insisted that the young woman held the cigarette for about a minute before handing it back to the boy.

As of just two days before the video was taken, Chicago’s state of Illinois has recently decriminalized possession of marijuana of up to 10 grams is completely legal, replacing the criminal penalty with $100 to $200.

In early July, Malia was seen dancing and drinking at the Sugar Factory in Amsterdam. A DJ there commented on Malia’s hip movements and said she was flirting with several others at the venue. Last October, she was seen standing at a beer pong table when she visited Brown University.

The internet has gone wild over the images of Malia partying and twerking. The nation has watched her grow up in the White House, so her every move is under a microscope right now.

First, it was drinking and twerking. And now, Malia Obama allegedly getting caught smoking pot is making news because she’s the first daughter and a lot of news about her hard-partying ways is coming to light. She’s enjoying her summer after graduating high school and plans to take a year off before beginning her studies at Harvard University in 2017.

Before becoming the US President, in 2006, Obama admitted experimenting with drugs in his youth, but claims he has warned his two children about cannabis.

He said: “I’ve told my daughters I think it’s a bad idea, a waste of time, not very healthy.” As has been well documented, I smoked pot as a kid, and I view it as a bad habit and a vice, not very different from the cigarettes that I smoked as a young person up through a big chunk of my adult life.”

He’s openly said that marijuana is “no more dangerous than alcohol.”

There are questions being raised as to whether the president’s daughter is out-of-control. In some ways, she’s being a normal teenager who’s enjoying her freedom after graduating high school. In other ways, she seems to be somewhat indulgent.

Malia Obama twerking, drinking, and now possibly smoking pot is getting mixed reactions. Many think everyone should leave the girl alone while others insist President Obama’s daughter should show more class and dignity.

Instead of spending time lazing around and enjoying the perks of having powerful parents like most other teenagers nowadays, the youngest daughter of the President of America, Sasha Obama is utilising a part of her summer break serving customers at a popular seafood restaurant called Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts.

President Barack Obama’s daughter Sasha might be the good girl using her summer break as a waitress and cash register girl at a restaurant. It just shows how much the Obamas value labour and inculcate the value of simple living in their children. Something we don’t see very often nowadays. Well done, Sasha!
