Part of its state-of-the-art LUMIX range, the DMC-FZ1000 and DMC-FZ300 cameras will allow professionals as well as amateur photographers to capture breathtaking 4K photos and videos at four times the resolution of full-high-definition (HD). Both of the Lumix cameras are capable of capturing still pictures in 8-megapixel during 4K video recording. The devices also come with several other features like 4K Burst Shooting, 4K Burst S/S (Start/Stop) and 4K Pre-burst – to capture fleeting photo opportunities.

They come equipped with High Sensitivity MOS sensors and Venus Engine image processors which together enhance low light photography, claims Panasonic. The Lumix DMC-FZ1000 comes with 20.1-megapixel MOS sensor that supports up to 16x optical zoom. There is also onboard Wi-Fi sync facility that manages to connect with the smartphones or tablets to share the captured pictures.

They feature Panasonic’s wide-angle Leica lens system to fill the images with details, and high-precision OLED viewfinders which gives users a higher contrast ratio (than an LCD) in low ambient light conditions. For image stabilization, the company offers a 5-axis Hybrid Optical Image Stabilizer and a 5-step speed control system to the flagship model.

The second 4K technology model Lumix DMC-FZ300 is claimed to be splash proof and dustproof that allows to swiftly use the device for outdoor and field photography. The camera flaunts a 12.1 MOS sensor, 5-axis Hybrid Optical Image Stabilizer, manual controls for parameters like shutter speed, ISO, and a selection of shooting modes. It features up to 24X zoom with full-range f/2.8 aperture that can capture a far-distance, high-speed image – effortlessly — in high-definition.

The 4K technology provides stunning true-to-life detail pictures. The term bridge camera is used to define a class of cameras that sit between SLRs and point-and-shoot, commonly referred to as prosumer or superzoom cameras.
