These Pictures Show How Amazing Vizag Recovered Since Hudhud And It’s Inspiring

It was on 12th October 2014, exactly a year ago as the severe cyclonic storm Hudhud hit the city Vizag with a fury never imagined before and left it gasping for breath. The damage caused by the cyclone has changed the landscape of the port city. It made a huge landfall on Andhra Pradesh coast triggering heavy downpour and widespread destruction in the coastal regions. Effective governance and emergency strategies helped, saving thousands but it destroyed a major part of the beautiful city, just the infrastructure but not the will of its people. The greenery and scenic beauty of Visakha is slowly being restored again.

THIS IS ONE AMAZING TRANSFORMATION

THIS IS ONE AMAZING TRANSFORMATION

Vizag is the most beautiful city on the eastern coast of India. The Hudhud Cyclone ravaged the entire city on 12 October 2014, converting the green city into a grey city with all trees raged to the ground on the hills and ground.  People came forward to rebuild their city and these above pictures showed their will-power and proved that the motivated people and an effective government is a deadly combination to bring a change. A big Salute to the citizens of Vizag and the government of AP!
