Police Complaint Lodged Against Amitabh Bachchan For Singing Incorrect National Anthem Before India-Pakistan Clash

The India-Pakistan match in WT20 at Kolkata was started with two golden voices Amitabh Bachchan and Fuzon’s Shafaqat Amanat Ali singing the national anthems of the two respective countries. But both these voices got in trouble. A complaint was lodged against Bollywood Super Star Amitabh Bachchan at Ashok Nagar police station, New Delhi on Monday for allegedly singing incorrectly the India National Anthem.

Complaint against Amitabh Bachchan

The complaint was filed by Ulhas PR and he states that the anthem was sung incorrectly. Usually, the India National Anthem must be sung in 52 seconds approximately according to the guidelines of Ministry of Home Affairs but during the India-Pakistan match, Big B exceeded it to 1 minute and 22 seconds.

Complaint on Amitabh Bachchan

Earlier there were reports that the actor had charged Rs. 4 crores as his appearance fee during the match. However, top Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) official cleared the air, confirming that Bachchan didn’t charge a single penny. Cricket Association of Bengal president Sourav Ganguly was quoted that Bachchan paid a sum of Rs 30 lakh out of his own pocket for his stay and travel to Kolkata.

Shafaqat Ali was victim to vilification in the social media as well, for having ‘forgotten’ the words to the Pakistani national anthem. He reacted by saying that technical and audio glitches were to blame for some errors in the rendition, and brushed aside suggestions that he had forgotten the words.
