Haryana: Photos go viral for various reasons on the internet. Some are funny, some are sad, but all elicit an emotional response. Proving just that, one cop’s photos have recently gone viral, and it’s for all the right reasons.

In a world devoid of compassion, this Indian police is showing what it means to be truly dedicated and sincere to police duty. So far, one of his photos has gotten over 5,000 likes on Facebook, and you’ll love the reason why.

Meet Mr Rakesh Kumar who is a part of Haryana State Police posted in Sonipat town, which is around 20 kilometres from Delhi. This picture was taken on 2nd August around 4:30 PM. Whoever took this picture (We tried tracking the original source of the image and found a lot of names under the message so we’re unsure who to give credits except the cop here).

The cop was completely drenched in the rain without his shoes. And when he was asked why he isn’t wearing anyway shoes he said, “Sir, kal bhi duty par aana hai. Jootey geeley ho gaye toh kal kya pehnunga? Mere pass ek hi boot hai.” (Sir, tomorrow also I have to perform my duty and I have only one pair of shoes.)

Many of us will say that’s his JOB but the dedication shown by Rakesh Kumar is stupendous and he is an inspiration too.

We always say Police is corrupt, they don’t do their job properly or they treat people badly but we never praise Policeman like Rakesh Kumar those who are working in such a bad weather without shoes without raincoat without an umbrella on the rainy roads only for the one reason that we all can drive smoothly on the Roads to home safely.
