When compared to the ticket costs between Railways and Road Transport, Railways are bit better and affordable by all class people. But the charges of the eatables and drinks in the train seem to be too high. They sell them at more than the MRP rates especially Water Bottles. Most of us buy even if they charge more than the MRP rates because we won’t have another alternative.

Aman Narang, one of the passengers who were travelling in Chandigarh- Amritsar Superfast express, didn’t keep calm as everyone do when the seller told him the water bottle cost is Rs. 20 instead of MRP Rs. 15. He got an idea that since few months, the Indian Railways are serving with good service and solving the problems of the passengers.

Then he tweeted to Railway Ministry about the situation. He posted a complaint saying that “Railways clearly mentioned Rs 15 for railways and still they are selling at Rs 20. Train no 12241. Take action.” Soon after the officials got to know the problem, they took an immediate action on the Canteen owner.

Railway authorities fined the Catering Licensee with instructions about the concerned staff.
