Rajinikanth Lands In Legal Trouble For Milk Wastage

An injunction suit has been filed against Tamil superstar Rajnikanth and his fans, for wasting thousands of litres of milk over his gigantic cut-outs and posters, during the release of his films. Petitioner Dr IMS Manivanna asked Rajnikanth to come forward willfully and stop this wastage. The petitioner has also appealed to the court to give directives to the actor and his fans. A notice has been sent to the actor and the court has asked him to respond to it.

Southern superstar Rajnikanth fans usually pour milk on his life-size posters in a ritual called ‘paalabhishekam’. This landed Thalaiva and his fans in legal soup. “The suit what we have filed against superstar is to permanently stop the wastage of milk which is being poured in his name on his cut outs. More than thousands of litres of milk have been wasted in all these years and let that not happen anymore,” the petitioner said.

Noting that the veteran actor is now receiving the Padma Vibhushan, Manivanna said that the ritual should not continue. “And that is why I am requesting him (Rajnikanth) to come forward wilfully and tell his fans to stop wasting thousand of litres of milk,” he added.

Lately, Rajinikanth has been dragged into a number of controversies. His last outing Lingaa has been mired in one controversy after another from the time of its making. A script writer has claimed that the makers of Lingaa had stolen his script. The case is an ongoing issue at a court in Madurai.
