Baahubali Star actor Rana Daggubati has created a special image for himself and made a cult following for his portrayal of varied characters. His presence in films like Baby, The Ghazi Attack was appreciated, but Baahubali series took his name to a whole new level.

Now, after winning millions of heart with his menacing performance in the two parts of Baahubali franchise, macho star Rana Daggubati is busy shooting for his upcoming projects which are in different stages of production. Known for his prudent selection of scripts, Rana is said to have given the nod for yet another interesting role.

 

Yes, Rana has agreed to play a CBI officer in a powerful film subject that is based on former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s assassination.

As per the reports, Rana Daggubati will be seen playing the role of the Special Investigation Team head, Dr. Karthikeyan in the movie and he has already given his nod for the film. Kannada filmmaker AMR Ramesh has conceived the idea of making a multilingual movie on the whole event, that shook the country in 1991.

If things go by as planned, the film will be made in four languages Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam and an official announcement for the film will be made soon.

The former Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated on May 21, 1991, while he was on an election campaign in Sriperumbadur. The case was handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation’s Special Investigation Team headed by CBI officer Dr. Karthikeyan.

As it is a political subject which is controversial, a lot of study and research went into the making of the script of this project says the director AMR Ramesh. These kinds of powerful roles suit Rana the best and it looks like he will become the poster boy for powerful roles.

Well, Rana Daggubati was just mind blowing in films like Baby, TGA and Baahubali series and we are sure that he will continue to fascinate us in this one also.
