Reliance on Thursday officially announced the Jio 4G services in India. It is a truly disruptive launch. Not only it is a service with comparatively affordable data plans but it is also available to anyone with a compatible 4G phone for free for until December 31. Sounds tempting?

Reliance Jio 4G services will be open for anyone to avail from September 5. However, there is still a lot of confusion in the market on which all smartphones the services will be available on? Here’s a comprehensive list of smartphones supporting Reliance Jio’s 4G services.

Compatible Devices with Jio 4G

Since Reliance Jio is deployed over 4G frequencies, it only works on modern 4G enabled devices. Existing devices which do not have hardware support for 4G services will not be supported. For best performance, you need to own a VoLTE compatible device so that voice calls can be easily made. If your 4G enabled does not have VoLTE support, voice calls can still be made by making use of the Jio Join app, but the call quality will not be as great as those made via devices with native VoLTE support.

Reliance Jio first partnered Samsung to offer its Preview offer on selected smartphones. Since then, Jio’s Preview Offer isavailable on select 4G smartphones from companies like LG, Asus, Panasonic, Micromax, YU, TCL, Alcatel, Karbonn,Gionee, Lava and Xolo. The latest companies to join the growing list are Sony, Videocon, Sansui, HTC, Intex and Vivo. Following are all the smartphones currently compatible with the Reliance Jio Preview offer apart from the company’s LYF smartphones.
