Undoubtedly Commonwealth games are one of the prestigious international platforms for various athletes which takes place for every four years. 2018 Commonwealth games will be organised at Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. This will be the 5th time that Australia is hosting this prestigious games. The games start from 4th April and end on 15th April 2018. Players from all the countries have already reached Gold Coast.

Even Indian players reached Gold Coast and are excited about the games but Indian Sports ministry made a huge blunder which irked badminton sensation, Saina Nehwal. Earlier the sports ministry has cleared Saina’s Father, Harvir Singh and PV Sindhu’s mother Vijaya Pusarla’s name as the officials/non-athletes who were allowed to attend the games along with their children at no cost.

But when Saina along with her father reached the games venue she was shocked to know that her father’s name was not cleared as an official despite paying the whole amount even though the government gave them a free of cost visit.

Seeing this, Saina Nehwal was furious with the Sports Ministry blunder as now, neither her father can stay with her in the games village nor he can’t attend any of her games. Saina vented out her anger through a series of tweets stating,

“Surprise to see that when we started from India for commonwealth games 2018 my father was confirmed as the team official and I paid the whole amount for that but when we came to the games village … his name was cut from team official category .. and he can’t even stay with me.”

“I wanted his support as I regularly take him for my competitions …but I didn’t understand why nobody informed me all this earlier .. that he can’t enter anywhere #CommonwealthGames2018”

We just hope that the sports ministry could fix the mistake they’ve done while sending the list of officials and let Saina’s father into the games village.
