IND Vs SA: South Africa Fined for Slow Over-rate Against India

As you all know south africa has lost the match to India with 130 runs. On Sundays match South Africa has maintain very slow run rate in the World Cup match against India and lost the match. ICC Match referee Jeff Crowe found the South Africans fell one over short after time allowances were taken into consideration in the Group B clash on Sunday and Fined captain AB de Villiers 20 per cent of his match fee and 10 per cent for each of the remaining players of the team, because of the slow run rate on sunday.

South Africa Captain at Risk for Slow over-rate against India

South African captain AB de Villiers of 31-year-old was now in risk. If the team is going to loss the World Cup match once again before the final match he is going to face risk of  being suspended from one match.

SA Fined for Slow Over-rate Vs India:

“In accordance with the ICC Code of Conduct for minor over-rate offences, players are fined 10 per cent of their match fees for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time, with the captain fined double that amount,” the ICC said in a release.

If De Villiers doesn’t get another minor over-rate offence during the event, then he will miss the first one-day international post the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 as this will be his second offence within a 12-month period.

Now South Africa needs to over again their run rate and have to face the West Indies at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Friday.
