This Delhi Boy Grabs Whopping Rs 1.27 Crore Placement Offer From Google, Sets A New Record!

Google has made a whopping placement offer to a student of the Delhi Technological University (DTU). Delhi boy Chetan Kakkar has set a new record for international placement for DTU by grabbing an offer of $1,90,000 (Rs 1.26 crore approx) per annum from the Tech giant.

Chetan Kakkar, an alumnus of Springdales, Pusa Road said the DTU campus has made a great difference to his prospects. “This was what I had been striving so far and I am excited to join Google,” said Chetan.

Kakkar’s parents are teachers at Delhi University. His mother, Rita Kakkar is in the faculty of chemistry department and his father, Subhash Kakkar is a teacher of management studies.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Google is making such a good offer to an Indian student. In December 2014, a 21-year-old B-Tech student of IIT Indore, Gaurav Agarwal, had bagged a job with Google at an annual salary package of Rs. 1.7 crore. Prior to Chetan, the highest offer made to any DTU student so far was Rs 93 lakh. He has broken the previous year record by Rs 34 lakhs.

Chetan is a final year student of DTU in the Information Technology department. Kakkar will be joining Google in California after completing his course next year in 2016.
