This Man Is Being Paid Rs 100 Per Day By A Bank Without Doing Anything, Check How

Here is one of the hilarious stories ever imagined that took place in Thane in Maharashtra. The consumer court has ordered Punjab National Bank in Jaunpur (UP) and Union Bank of India branch in Dombivali to pay Rs 100 per day to the petitioner for inadequacy in services. Samokhoo Prajapati alleged that Rs. 20,000 was debited from his bank account to another bank without his involvement.

He then complained to the respective bank but there was no action from the other side. The man decided to complain to the Consumer Court. As soon as the complaint was lodged, Sneha Mhatre, the president of Thane District Consumer Redressal Forum and N D Kadam, a member, also directed the banks to re-credit Rs. 20,000 that was debited from the account of the complainant by the 31st of July.

Rs 100 per day

The banks were also ordered to pay Rs 2000 towards expenses in lodging the complaint. Samokhoo said that he tried withdrawing Rs 10,000 from the ATM of PNB in Jaunpur’s Shahganj area on the 7th of June 2014, but the cash wasn’t dispensed. He tried again withdrawing but the result was same, he didn’t receive money.

The twist is that he received a message of Rs 20,000 being debited from the account though he didn’t withdraw the money. He immediately informed Union Bank Home Branch at Dombivali about the money and the message. They replied saying that the money would be credited soon into your account within 7 working days. But he didn’t receive any sort of amount after 7 days.

He approached the consumer court and asked to debit Rs 20,000 at 18% interest and also Rs 45,000 compensation for mental harassment, Rs 5,000 towards legal expenses. Finally, with the help of copies of the communication between Prajapati and the bank, the forum asked both the banks to pay Prajapati a compensation of Rs 100 per day from the 7th of June of 2014.
