Anna University declared Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2017 rank list today. Admissions to the colleges under TNEA 2017 will be done through a single window counselling. The counselling will commence from 27th June 2017. The rank list will be uploaded in the form of a merit list containing the rank of candidates based on category and quota rules.

The rank list is done on the basis of rank/merit list obtained by the candidates in TNEA, which is further based on candidates’s marks in the qualifying degree. Also, a separate merit list is also prepared for candidates who have applied under industrial quota and their rank list.

TNEA Rank List 2017:

Anna University is a technical university in Tamil Nadu, India. The main university campus is located in Guindy, Chennai. It became an affiliating university in 2001, absorbing all engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu. In 2007, it was split into six constituent universities namely Chennai (campus), Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli and Tirunelveli.

A Common Entrance Test namely Tamil Nadu Professional Courses Entrance Examination (TNPC EE) was used as a basis for admission to professional courses in the state until 2006. Starting in the academic year 2007-08, students were admitted to engineering colleges on the basis of their higher secondary marks. Anna University released notification and invited online applications for the TNEA 2017. A huge number of eligible and interested candidates applied for the examination. Candidates who had applied can check the rank list which are declared today. The rank list is based on the reservations and marks obtained from total 200 marks.
