Twitterati Turns Sarcastic Over Congress’ Veteran ‘Sharad Pawar’ Conferred For Padma Vibhushan
Note enough to the allegations with the existing honorary awards offered in our country like Filmfare, various discrepancies were observed with the conferring of prestigious awards. Another such issue has joined this row when Congress’ veteran Sharad Pawar’s name is mentioned in the list of Padma awardees on the occasion of 68th Republic Day.
Just like every year, the Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri awardees list is announced on a day before 26th Januar, the list featured 120 distinguished personalities for their achievements across various fields.
Popular personalities like BJP veteran Murli Manohar Joshi, chef Sanjeev Kapoor, singers Kailash Kher and Anuradha Paudwal, cricketer Virat Kohli, wrestler Sakshi Malik and gymnast Dipa Karmakar were among others.
Though the list is appreciated by every possible person, with congratulatory messages flowing in from all quarters for the recipients, the announcement of Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar as the winner of the Padma Vibhushan ended up surprising man people.
For this period, four of the seven people conferred for Padma Vibhushan were political leaders. Sharad Pawar turned 76 years old with 50 years of active participation in politics, as he celebrates the golden anniversary of his political career, his party has planned special events across Maharashtra and other parts.
As soon as his name is announced, he took on to his twitter handle and thanked the farmers, then saluted his voters for continuous faith in him. Pawar then thanked all the administrators for their service and to the people of Latur, Osmanabad and Mumbai who supported him during his tough times.
