UPSC Civil Services Exam Results 2014 Expected soon at upsc.gov.in

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Exam Results have been delayed because of the Jat reservation issue. UPSC Results are expected to be declared after the verdict on Jat quota reservation by Supreme Court of India. This year, Nearly 20, 000 aspirants appeared for the UPSC Civil Services Exam and have been waiting for the result ever since. The 2014 Civil Services results are expected in next few days.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Civil Services Exam for candidates who are interested in joining the Indian Administrative Services (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS). The format has three stages – Preliminary examination which consists of two objective-type papers (General Studies and Aptitude Test), the Main examination which consists of nine papers of conventional (essay) type followed by the Personality Test of interview).

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Monday has been asked by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) to go ahead with the declaration of the 2014 Civil Services Mains exam based on the Supreme Court order on Jat reservation, official sources said.

UPSC Civil Services Exam Results in few days:

Civil Services are the most coveted jobs in India and the competition is extremely tough with several lakh aspirants taking the Preliminary examination out of which just a few thousands qualify for the Main examinations and just a couple of thousand are called for Personality Test.

The UPSC Civil Services Exam Results are generally declared in the second week of March. Candidates are further required to appear for other stages like personality test/interview. The UPSC exam was held in August last year. The 2014 Civil Services results are expected in next few days. Candidates can check their results from the official website.

The candidates can apply to a maximum of six times. The candidates belonging to OBC category can apply for a total of nine times. This restriction on the number of attempts will not apply in case of Scheduled Caste and Schedule Tribe candidates.
