Harish Rawat said, “Anyone who kills cows, no matter which community he belongs to, is India’s biggest enemy and has no right to live in the country” while addressing a function in Haridwar. He further added, “The law will deal sternly with those who kill cows in Uttarakhand and the state government will do everything for cow conservation.” These statements of the Uttarakhand chief minister heated the atmosphere of the function in Haridwar were Gopashtami celebrations were commemorated.

All these days, it was evident that BJP leaders used to strike the headlines making raging anger between people expressing their remarks over beef ban, cow slaughter, ghar vapsi and many other communally and socially disturbing propaganda’s which was condemned by the opposition Congress party. Harish Rawat asserted that it is his government to be the first in the nation which has passed a proposal against cow slaughter. He also arrogated that Uttarakhand government is the only state to come up with first of its kind scheme where land is being allotted for cowsheds at subsidy and also helps in arranging for their fodder. CM Harish Rawat said, “law will deal sternly with those who kill cows in Uttarakhand and the state government will do everything for cow conservation.”
