Vinod Alva Arrested In Connection With Conspiracy To Murder Ex-manager Sachidananda

Actor Vinod Alva, who is well known for his debut with the Malayalam-language film Aalilakkuruvikal and in some Kannada and Telugu movies, was arrested by the Puttur Town Police on Monday on the charge of hatching a conspiracy to murder his ex-manager Sachidananda Patali.

Sachhidananda, a resident of Eshwarmangala near Puttur taluk, has recently filed the complaint with the Puttur rural police station. As he reportedly claimed that the actor hatched a conspiracy to murder him.

Sachhidananda said that the actor was responsible for the accident on 15 November 2015, at Eshwarmangala when he was was going by two-wheeler and the jeep was driven by actor’s aide Udaya Chikithaya.

Reports suggest that Sachidananda used to manage all the financial affairs of Vinod Alva, and he also had power of attorney to execute his deals. But he quit the job earlier this year and he also went to court on March 7, 2015, demanding compensation from Vinod Alva for his work.

Superintendent of Police Sharanappa S.D. said that the police took Alva into custody from his recedence in Eshwarmangala and questioned him on Monday.

Alva was arrested under Section 120 (B) (criminal conspiracy) and Section 307 (attempt to murder) of Indian Penal Code and produced before the magistrate in Puttur on Tuesday, he said.

S.D Sharanappa Superintendent of Police, who was briefed about the case, asked the Puttur rural police to charge Vinod Alva and Chikithaya immediately with murder conspiracy charges and take appropriate action against them.

Reports suggest that actor Vinod Alva has been listed as a rowdy sheeter at Puttur rural police station for threatening the people in Badagannur and Sullia Padav 20 years back.  Sachidananda said that Vinod Ava had conspired to eliminate a BJP politician from the area, who was against him, but he had refused to be part of the conspiracy.
