Earlier, Railway journey was by far considered as the safest, but these days, it might be due to the lack of safety precautions from passengers or the lack of proper machine functioning, the frequent occurrence of Railway accidents, inside the train or outside the trains is noticed.

Quite some time after the Kanpur issue, here’s an another railway incident where an internal explosion took place in the Bhopal-Ujjain Passenger Train At Shajapur district in Madhya Pradesh.

“The blast occurred between 9.30 AM and 10 AM in one of its general coaches when it was on its way to Ujjain from Bhopal near Jabdi station, Railway PRO, Indore,” said Jitendra Kumar Jayant, a passenger.

Jitendra further mentioned that about 9 passengers were injured and admitted to a hospital in Kalapipal town of the district.

When asked about the accident, the Chief Minister of MP Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that Rs 25,000 compensation for the injured and Rs 50,000 for the critically injured, he concluded that he’s personally looking into the issue and the concerned police authorities were at the spot.

Post the accident when the train was about to reach the Jabdi station, the glass panes of the windows in the general coach were shattered. The train was halted after the accident as the smoke engulfed the general coach, causing panic among the passengers who hurried out worrying about their lives.

Some of the sources claim that the blast occurred from a suitcase and some others say that it happened from a mobile phone, however, there’s no authenticated proof yet and the probe is on.
