While the chief minister was addressing a gathering of nearly 5,000 people to thank Delhi residents for what the government says was a successful odd-even car rationing trial, a woman in her 20s walked towards the dais and threw ink, and some papers and a CD at Mr Kejriwal.

The woman has been identified as Bhavna, who belongs to the “Aam Aadmi Sena” a splinter group of AAP formed by party rebels. The woman accused Kejriwal of doing CNG scam.

“The Delhi government is behind a CNG scam in the name of odd-even plan. I have proof of the scam on CD. I had asked for an appointment from the chief minister but wasn’t given time,” said the woman after the attack.

Kejriwal, who was speaking when the woman attacked him, remained unruffled.  “Leave her; she is talking about some scam. Please take that paper from her she is mentioning some CNG scam,” he said as security personnels rushed to reign in the woman. She was immediately detained by the security personnel present at the event.
