And today, a Bengaluru-based company Namotel has come with a Smartphone at a cost of Rs. 99 and it is named as Namotel Acche Din.

The company’s promoter Madhav Reddy at a press conference confirmed that the Smartphone is available for pre-booking from May 17 to May 25 on the company’s website namotel.com. However, the website did not open when people had tried to book the Smartphone.

Prospective buyers are required to register on bemybanker.com website and get a user ID and password, which are required to book the Smartphone on namotel.com. For registration on bemybanker.com website, users need to pay a one-time lifetime membership fee of Rs 199. But bemybanker.com has shown a database error while accessing it.

Specifications of Namotel Acche Din:

The mobile sports a 4-inch display with 480×800 pixels WVGA resolution. Runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and featured with 1GB RAM. Internal Storage is 4 GB and it is expandable up to 32 GB through microSD card. 2MP back camera and VGA selfie camera are fixed to the phone. It is a 3G connectivity device with a dual-SIM option.

The website shows that the price has been slashed from Rs 2,999 to Rs 99. The Smartphone is also available on the cash-on-delivery basis, but nominal delivery charges will be levied.
