Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University successfully conducted Rajasthan Pre Teachers Education/ Entrance Test (PTET) on 14th May 2017. A huge number of candidates who are looking for the admissions into 2-year B.Ed course and for admissions in 4-year B.A. B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed. courses applied and appeared for the exam. The results of the same were also declared.

First PTET seat allotment result was declared on July 1 and the candidates were asked to report to the allotted institution by July 8. Later, MDSU extended the last date of reporting to July 13. This also affected the schedule for upward movement and the applications for upward movement were submitted from July 14 to July 15 (up to 5 pm). As per the revised schedule, PTET seat allotment for upward movement applicants were released  and two days will be reserved for reporting – July 17 & 18.

Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University is a university in Ajmer, Rajasthan, India. It opened in 1987 and is named after the philosopher Maharshi Dayananda Saraswati. The university was established August 1 1987 as the University of Ajmer. The name was changed in 1996. Jurisdiction of the university extends to the entire state of Rajasthan.

Since inception the university has conducted the examination of nearly 1,500,000 students in colleges throughout the state. In 1990, the history, political science, zoology, botany and mathematics departments were founded; in 1991 courses in environmental technology, microbiology and laboratory technology and instrumentation were started. In 1993, after transferring to a new campus, the courses of food and nutrition, applied chemistry, management studies and computer applications were created, offering M. Sc., MBA, postgraduate (PG) diploma and Ph.D. programs.

The university started a PG program in environmental science in 1998 and PG programs in botany, zoology, business economics, commerce, population studies, history, political science and computer science in 2000. The founder Vice-Chancellor of the University was Prof Rambali Upadhyaya, a renowned Management teacher who was previously teaching management students at the University of Rajasthan.

Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University released notification and invited online applications for the PTET 2017. A huge number of eligible and interested candidates applied and appeared for the exam. Candidates who had appeared for the upward movement can check the allotment results from the direct link provided below.

Other students, allotted a seat for the first time, will have to deposit the balance fee (Rs. 22,000) by July 16 and report to the allotted institute on or before July 18. The students allotted a seat through upward movement need not pay the fee as they must have paid the same during reporting to the allotted institute as per the first round.
