Suriya’s much-awaited movie Thaana Serndha Koottam TSK hit the big screens today i.e; 12th January 2018. This is the Suriya’s 35th film. The movie is also dubbed in Telugu as Gang. The teaser and trailer which had released the earlier created a lot of buzz and raised the expectations in the audience. TSK is heist film written and directed by Vignesh Shivan and produced by K. E. Gnanavel Raja.

The movie is based on the 1987 Opera House heist and Neeraj Pandey’s Special 26 (2013) which features Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, and Manoj Bajpayee. Keerthy Suresh played the female lead role. Karthik, Ramya Krishnan, Senthil and Suresh Chandra Menon in supporting roles. This is the first Tamil film for Ramya Krishnan after the blockbuster ‘Bahubali’. The music composed by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography by Dinesh Krishnan.

Thaana Serndha Koottam Movie Story:

The story is inspired by a real-life incident in 1987 when a group posing as CBI raided a jewelry showroom in Mumbai and stole around 35 lakhs. Karthik (Suriya) enters as a special officer to nab the group. How he completed the mission is the rest of the story.

TSK Movie Review:

Although the movie is the remake the makers modified the screenplay according to the nativity.  Suriya Performance is the main highlight of the film. The role of Keerthy Suresh is very less with poor acting skills. Ramya Krishnan represents Anupam Kher role and justified her character. However, the comedy by Senthil and Sathyan is weak. Overall a good family entertainer with power packed performance by Suriya.
