Indian team has performed absolutely well clinching the test series with ease. Scoring the ample runs in the beginning itself top order batsmen made it an easy win since the inception.

Sri Lankans loss at the very soon roped in unexpected criticism to the players, senior cricketers and experts went bashing the squad for their erratic game style at the Galle.

Out of all sports critics, Arjuna Ranatunga, the 1996 World Cup winning skipper is much crucial one, his opinions are much mattered as he is the only Sri Lankan captain to bag the world cup for the team. Expressing his views on the team’s form, he literally went saying that the team made him feel “disgusted”.

Ranatunga was quoted saying, “Sri Lanka Cricket and the manner in which it is being administered and managed is so disgusting that I don’t watch our national cricket anymore.” He added that he stopped watching the National team’s cricket matches thereafter.

As of now, Sri Lankan team is playing the three-Test series with India, post this, they will play six limited over matches of which five are One-Day and one is T20 International.

Meanwhile, Ranatunga mentioned that he preferred watching the on-going England-South Africa Test series, which England is leading 2-1 with the fourth Test scheduled to start from the 4th August.

He then stated that the whole cricket fraternity including the players is more worried about earnings, foreign trips, and perks rather than fighting to bag the victories for the nation.

This 52-year-old cricket expert believes that there’s an urgent need for the reinstatement of the Interim Committee to manage Sri Lanka Cricket and he would be writing to the President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe about same.
