Actor vs Cricketer: Amitabh Bachchan Slams Aussie Cricketer Brad Hodge For Questioning Virat Kohli’s Ethics

Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan has been equally active on the social media website Twitter as he has been on the big screen.

He is an avid follower of cricket and the superstar has time and again backed the Indian cricket team and went toe-to-toe with sportsmen from other countries to back his nation.

Recently, Bollywood’s megastar Amitabh Bachchan took a dig at former Australian cricketer Brad Hodge for his comments on Virat Kohli.

Yes, yesterday the former Australian batsmen and current Gujarat Lions coach, Brad Hodge accused Virat Kohli might have kept himself out of the fourth and final Test of the Border-Gavaskar trophy in order to be back in action for the upcoming IPL season.

This bizarre statement went viral as soon as it came out.

Big B was quick to voice his opinion about Hodge’s comment and he bashed Hodge for making such a rash statement and also assures him that Indian can beat Australia even without Kohli.

Here’s his tweet:

He posted a Tweet that read as, “Brad Hodge says ‘Virat skipped 4th to play IPL’ .. RUBBISH ! he did it to tell you that his team can wallop you even without him !”

It seems like Bachchan’s words came true as India literally walloped the Australian side and won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy virtual final at Dharamsala.

This isn’t the first time when Bachchan had come in support of Kohli. When an Australian daily called him the Donald Trump of cricket, Bachchan came in defense of the Indian captain.

Hodge even went on to question Kohli’s sportsmanship that it would be “pretty dirty” of Kohli if he turns out for the IPL opening match as Royal Challengers Bangalore captain against David Warner’s Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 5.

Virat Kohli pulled out of the series-deciding fourth Test against Australia as he was not 100 per cent fit after injuring his shoulder during the third match in Ranchi.

We hope Virat Kohli is back in action soonest!
