Faf Du Plessis Thanked Pakistan For The Safe Return, But, Twitterati Couldn’t Stop Making Fun Of His Tweet

Much awaited Pakistan Vs World XI three-match series has completed with the former’s victory against the latter. Pakistan has really had some good time seeing their favorite players from throughout the world on one platform. This match that took place between the global cricketers’ team led by South African Skipper Faf Du Plessis and Afridi led Pakistan has been one of the most memorable moments for the Pakistani people.

World XI lost the hard-fought series against Pakistan 2-1 earlier this week. On the whole, most importantly it was the cricket which won as the sport finally returned to the country after 8 years long tenure.

With some globally acclaimed cricketers like Hashim Amla, David Miller, Darren Sammy, Morne Morkel, Imran Tahir and Thisara Perera the tournament was played in full spirit and the spectators were seen cheering for the opposition as well. More importantly, it was very well organized by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and proved that it is a safe country to play cricket.

Faf Du Plessis, the South African skipper who led the World XI team has done well, though he didn’t win the match for the World XI team, it was the match that mattered much.

Soon after returning home from the foreign land, he posted a message for his followers saying the same. His message included the picture of the crowd cheering for him, the post by Plessis read, “Arrived safely back home.Thank you, Pakistan and Lahore for your hospitality.”
