[Watch Video] True Sportsmanship! Kings XI Punjab Batsman Hashim Amla Walks Back Even Without An Appeal

South African cricketer Hashim Amla is one of the best batsmen in world cricket. Over the years, he has scored runs almost everywhere he played and established himself as one of the stalwarts of modern-day cricket.

Amla is also a great ambassador of the game, who has always played the game in right spirit. He focuses only on his game and tries to stay away from controversies, as much as he can.

Proving just that, Kings XI Punjab batsman Amla has once again shown why he is one of the most respected cricketers in world cricket.

In the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kings XI Punjab, Hashim Amla edged the fifth delivery of the innings to the wicket-keeper. Kedar Jadhav did not spot the tickle and hence did not even appeal. Just when the bowler in Aniket Choudhary made a slight appeal for the caught behind, Amla himself walked away before the umpire raised his finger.

Here is a clip of that incident:

In the video we can see, the wicketkeeper, as well as the bowler, did not even bother to appeal since they did not notice the edge but Amla showing a brilliant gesture, ignored the umpire and headed towards the pavilion. Later, the replays confirmed the faintest of the edges.

It is not the first time that Amla has uplifted the spirit of the game through his actions on the field. Someone of his stature always keeps the game above anyone else. And this is how it should be.

Thus, Kings XI Punjab batsman Hashim Amla is no less that its brand ambassador after an amazing act of sportsmanship.
