Here’s How Hardik Pandya, Yuzvendra Chahal, Manish Pandey and Axar Patel Travelled From Mumbai To Pune In Style

Post huge dominance against the Australians, team India lost the opening ODI against New Zealand by six wickets at Wankhede Stadium on Sunday. Ross Taylor and Tom Latham put up a 200 run partnership for the 4th wicket to register the victory for their side, making them 1-0 ahead in the three-match ODI series.

The 2nd ODI in the 3-match ODI series is scheduled on 25 October 2017 (Wednesday). Team India is under pressure after the Kiwis took a 1-0 lead in Mumbai. However, Virat Kohli and Co are all set to level the series by defeating the visitors in the 2nd ODI held at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Ground in Pune.

Generally, travelers often prefer to take the road when traveling from Mumbai to Pune. But the Indian team has no choice of traveling on the road due to security reason. As the Indian team traveled to Pune for the 2nd ODI from Mumbai in flight, these young Indian cricketers decided to enjoy the road trip.

They are Hardik Pandya, Yuzvendra Chahal, Manish Pandey and Axar Patel who traveled in a car from Mumbai to Pune. Thus, Yuzvendra Chahal took to Twitter to post a photo of their short trip.

Tom Latham and Ross Taylor put on an exhibition of quality one-day batsmanship as they shared a 200-run fourth wicket stand to guide New Zealand to an easy 6-wicket win over India in the opening ODI in Mumbai. Latham (103*) brought up his fourth ODI century as he raced ahead of Taylor (95) in later stages of the chase on a Wankhede pitch which wasn’t the usual belter of a track that one gets to see at this venue.

The best part about the New Zealand run-chase was that they achieved the target without taking undue risks. They did not try to attack spin duo of Kuldeep Yadav (1/64 in 10 overs) and Yuzvendra Chahal (0/51 in 10 overs) taking all the singles and doubles on offer with occasional boundary for the taking.

The drawback of Indian bowling attack was they didn’t have a plan B despite the wicket being not so conducive for batting.

Earlier, Virat Kohli played another masterclass of an innings in his landmark 200th ODI as he kept the Indian innings together despite wickets falling at regular intervals. The Indian captain slammed his 31st ODI century, which took him ahead of Ricky Ponting on the list of most centuries score in the history of one-dayers.
