[WATCH VIDEO] Choirul Huda, The Legendary Indonesian Goalkeeper Dies On The Spot After Colliding His Teammate
Foot Ball is a game of will and guts, the strength, speed, and attention play the major roles momentarily. Another saddening incident took place at Indonesia recent match. The prominent Indonesian goalkeeper Choirul Huda abruptly ended his life on the field amidst the game.
This happened soon after he collided with his teammate, Earlier it was assumed that Persela Lamongan keeper, Huda, sustained injuries after impact with the knee of Ramon Rodrigues, but it wasn’t so. Soon after he was stretchered off the field, the condition worsened and he was pronounced dead.

In the video footage, we can see Huda clutching his chest in pain before he was rushed away on a stretcher and was taken to the Lamongan hospital. Sources claim that Huda arrived unconscious but was still breathing. However, the doctors could not save him. Doctors said he stopped breathing and suffered a heart attack instantly.
Meanwhile, his assistant Yuhronur Efendi spoke to the news agency, “He received an emergency treatment for a few minutes in the hospital but he could not be saved. He died before 5:00 pm yesterday.”
The accident took place when he collided with his teammate Rodrigues trying out for the goal for a ball. However, the saddest element is that the whole family is now seeing their loved ones dying on the ground, cannot do anything, but, watch the happening helplessly.
This goalkeeper is been playing a vital role in the Indonesian team since his advent in 1999, his total number of appearances summed up to 503. The whole soccer fraternity mourned for his death, a tweet from Persela Lamongan’s official handle said, “HUDA THE REAL LEGEND OF PERSELA.”

Post his death news, the whole surroundings stood still. Persela coach Aji Santoso said, “All of the players finished the game and went to the hospital, where it was announced that Choirul Huda had died, The loss of Choirul Huda has hit us all hard. We did not have time to a see a doctor, only to see his body.”
Huda spent nearly 18 years with the team.
