Harmanpreet Kaur Gets Her Shoulder Injured During Net Session, Will She Play In The World Cup Final Against England?

With the very amazing innings she played in the semi-finals against Australia, Harmanpreet Kaur has garnered huge attention from the whole cricket fraternity. The unstoppable 171 that contributed more than 60% of Team India’s score against the tough rivals was something that must not be unforgotten.

Now that Indian Women’s team has reached finals in World Cup 2017, that too for the first time ever, people around the world are all set to watch the most awaited final bait tomorrow. And, of course, people do have some serious expectations on Harmanpreet Kaur, post the amusing show she presented to all of us in the semi-finals, such expectations are quite obvious.

Contrary to our thoughts, it sounds like things aren’t going too well with Kaur, sources claim that the player is now suffering from a shoulder injury, that made her presence in the team ambiguous.

All these news came to limelight after Melinda Farrell, an ESPN Cricinfo’s cricket correspondent has shared the same on her official Twitter handle. She, in her tweet, has said that Harmanpreet Kaur has injured her right shoulder while batting in the nets.

“Injury worry for India. Harmanpreet Kaur hurt her right shoulder batting in the nets. Said she was fine but looked v uncomfortable. #WWC17,” Farrell tweeted.

Post this, Melinda once again tweeted about the condition of Kaur, tweeted a picture of Harmanpreet icing her shoulder.

Later to that the journalist then once again tweeted about Kaur’s presence in the finals match, she quoted skipper Mithali Raj’s opinion on the same, went saying that “captain Mithali Raj believes Harmanpreet will be fit to play on Sunday and the icing was just precautionary to deal with niggles.”

Despite all the odds, this match is very important for Team India, as this is the first time ever that we have reached so far. And, of course, as per the statistics, England is the toughest Women’s Cricket Team from the very inception.

Talking about the match, skipper Mithali Raj, earlier said: “It isn’t going to be easy for England.”

Right from the inception of the World Cup in 1973, England and Australia are dominating the tournaments. As of now, New Zealand is the only other country to have won the event, that too in 2000.
