Watch: Kedar Jadhav Shares The Moment And Conversation With Virat Kohli In This Interview

Virat Kohli, the current skipper for the Indian team, is the golden boy of Indian cricket. There is no doubt that Virat Kohli is currently in the top form and a hot favorite as India’s Test team captain, especially with his 19-match unbeaten winning streak.

Applauding the recent victory against England, Virat Kohli has hailed Kedar Jadhav’s 76-ball 120 as an “outstanding” effort and one of the “best calculative innings” he has seen, after India faced a tall chase in his first match as full-time ODI captain.

Virat Kohli went on to say,

“I think it was outstanding, just to have another guy that was willing to believe we can win from any situation was such a boost for me as well. If you want to give one man credit, it is Kedar Jadhav,” Kohli said after the match. “They had four quick bowlers and he really tackled all of them really well. He put a lot of pressure on the spinners so they couldn’t come back into the game. I couldn’t believe some of the shots he played. He told me it was instinctive, but such was his talent.”

On the other hand, in an interview, Kedar Jadhav spoke about how supporting and motivating was Virat Kohli towards him. He also said more about batting alongside Virat Kohli and the conversations he had in the middle with his skipper.

Though, England managed to dismiss Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni in successive overs to have India teetering on the brink on 63 for 4. There was still Virat Kohli, but with only a little-known Kedar Jadhav and a callow lower middle-order, England had a chance to win big and dent India’s psyche.

Instead, at the end of the night, it was England’s morale that was razed by a 200-run partnership in 147 balls between Jadhav and Kohli, who both scored first-rate, counterpunching hundreds.

Jadhav played an aggressive innings of 76-ball 120 and along with his skipper Virat Kohli (122 off 105 balls), helped India chased down a stiff target of 351 for a three-wicket win on Sunday.
