Watch: Maxwell’s Double Wicket Maiden Defending 2 Runs Off Last Over Against Pakistan

Australian Cricketer Glenn Maxwell had bowled a sensational last over in the 3rd ODI between Australia and Pakistan at Abu Dhabi in October 2014. After bagging the 3 ODI series with 2-0, Australia was looking for a whitewash over Pakistan in the third ODI. But Pakistan bowlers restricted Australian batsmen at 231/9 in 50 overs. Though it was an easy target for Pakistan, all went wrong for the team when they needed just 2 runs in the last over.

Maxwell bowled a brilliant over by taking two wickets and a maiden over. Sohail Tanvir was out while trying to hit a six off the second ball of the over. Mohammad Irfan, couldn’t handle the nerves of the situation and played three dots balls. Then, Pakistan needed 2 runs off 1 ball. Irfan played a top edge of the last ball and was caught by James Faulkner. Thus, Australia made a white wash.
