Preity Zinta Overwhelmed As Yuvraj Singh Returns To Kings XI Punjab Team In IPL Auction 2018

The eight franchises participating in the 2018 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) are currently participating the auction at Bangalore. Earlier, the franchises retained a few players from their previous teams and some of them were expected though some were surprising.

Yuvraj SIngh SRH

In the auction today, an unexpected pick happened and it is Chennai boy Ravichandran Ashwin. Guess what, he made his way to the Kings XI Punjab, it was an eerie moment for all the fans back in Chennai, with Chennai Super Kings bagged Harbhajan Singh in a cross-state transfer.

But in the case of Yuvraj Singh, the Kings XI Punjab bought him at a base price of 2 crores. It is very much contrary to the price that RCB and DD have paid for him in the past seasons. Royal Challengers Bangalore paid a huge sum of 14 crores in the 2014 IPL season.

Coming to the stats, in the two seasons that the left-hander played for the Virat Kohli-led side, he scored a total of 624 runs in his two seasons with the Royal Challengers before he made a move to the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Even with the ball, Yuvraj was pretty ordinary picking up only six wickets in two seasons. However, he was a part of the IPL winning side in 2016. With the Sunrisers Hyderabad, the left-hander scored 488 runs in 22 appearances.

Preity Zinta KXIP

After two seasons, Yuvraj Singh is back to his home team Kings XI Punjab, the side which he led for two seasons. The KXIP franchise owner Preity Zinta was very happy getting him back into the team with the base price. She even took to Twitter to share her happiness about Yuvraj being part of her team again after a gap.

She tweeted, “Yesssssss! @YUVSTRONG12 is back home at @lionsdenkxip and I cannot be happier 😘 #LivePunjabiPlayPunjabi #VivoIPLAuction #BalleBalle😘”

It is likely to be if the all-rounder could shine on his return for the Kings XI Punjab, after having an off-season with both the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
