From the beginning, the ICC Champions Trophy saw its share of ups and downs — from rain spoiling the proceedings in most games, top sides such as South Africa and Australia getting knocked out in the first round to Bangladesh reaching the semi-final of an ICC tournament for the very first time, and Pakistan scripting a fairytale.

We had a lot of emotions and fun covering this tournament, and finally, the tournament came to an end with Pakistan team winning the title for the first time by defeating arch rivals team India in the final at the Oval on Sunday.

Though it created lots of controversies after, it all ended on a good note. Pakistan deserved to win this match because of they played well when compared with that of India.

Despite being the favorites of the tournament, team India failed to continue the same form and performance in the finals against Pakistan. Even India captain Virat Kohli admitted that they could not play their ‘best game’ in the final. Though we all were disappointed with India’s performance there’s always a next time, right?

However, one big question that’s revolving around everyone’s mind now is that “HOW MUCH PRIZE MONEY DID EACH TEAM GET?”. This time, ICC had hiked the amount and gave a whopping 14 crores to the winning team!
