Ranbir Kapoor To Play Yuvraj Singh’s Role In The Upcoming Biopic?

Biopics are playing a crucial role in upbringing the life stories of the real heroes. The journey started a long back, but took its pace from Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Bhaag Milka Bhaag’, Priyanka Chopra’s ‘Mary Kom’, Sushant Singh Rajput’s MS Dhoni, Sonam Kapoor’s ‘Neerja’ and Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’.

Despite the above blockbusters, many other cult movies like ‘Aligarh’ and ‘Manjhi’ were critically acclaimed.

Now, being the popular sport in India, the biopics of the Indian cricketers will be however heartily accepted in the first itself. According to the sources, the biopic on the hitman Yuvraj Singh’s life is on cards.

Right from the beginning of the career, Yuvraj Singh has earned quite millions of fans with his unpredictable shots and historical six sixes. The cricketer’s unexpected break in International cricket due to cancer, his comeback, his recent epic century received praises from worldwide cricket buffs. All this, when put together will definitely make up a brilliant story.

The interesting question is here, who will play the role of Yuvraj?

Till now, the names of two actors were heard in Bollywood fraternity, Ranbir Kapoor and Akshay Kumar.

Earlier, during the promotions of ‘Ae Dil Hain Mushkil’, Ranbir addressed the media that he is quite curious to play the role of Yuvraj Singh if it comes to his table.

When asked about the talks, Ranbir’s camp said to a popular media channel,

“Yes, I can confirm that Ranbir has received these offers, but he has not taken a call on either. Let’s see what happens in the future.”

Further, in another statement, Ranbir himself directly said:

“Like I mentioned earlier, Yuvraj Singh. I think he has had an interesting story.”

Contrary to this, Yuvraj Singh has Akshay Kumar in his mind as Akshay earlier played the roles of Punjabi guy, flawlessly.

Well I don’t know who relates to me the best but as a Punjabi boy I think Akshay fits in that category,” said Yuvraj Singh in a talk show.
