RPS Re-Writes Its Name As ‘TEAM DHONI’, Pays Tribute To The Former Captain Ahead Of The IPL Finale

Forget about all the players, forget about the former statistics and points on the tables, what all matters are hope, people has immense hope on Dhoni, irrespective of his form and scores, people adore him as Maahi and calls him gracefully as Captain Cool.

We all know that this IPL season has left some bitter marks on Dhoni’s career, from the minimum scores to the belittlement from his own team boards, everything was bit unfair with him, but there’s something that kept Maahi moving, that is the love from his beloved fans.

Now, that it is believed that this will be the last year for Rising Pune Supergiants, the team authorities has come forward calling the team as ‘Team dhoni’, they tweeted the picture of Dhoni paying tribute to him. This one tweet from the authorities poured in great love for the captain cool, and it is good to hear the franchise thanking him at least now, as millions of Dhoni’s followers were one of the prominent well-wishers for the winning streak of RPS.

Today is an important day for RPS, as the team successfully clinched enough points to get a pass into finals against Mumbai Indians, which means that this will be the last match for RPS in its whole career, as by next year, teams like Gujarat Lions and RPS will be waived off from the IPL, replacing the Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals.

Both the teams were ousted from the cash-rich IPL in 2013 according to the infamous Supreme Court order regarding the spot-fixing scandal back then.

Dhoni will be leading the Chennai Super Kings in 2018, just as he did back in 2013. His captaincy was well acclaimed as he bagged two titles for Chennai.

This tribute tweet from the RPS board matters a lot because, during the whole season, the authorities went bashing Dhoni in one way or another, especially Harsh Goenka was the butt of all jokes for criticizing dhoni.
