There was a huge uproar in the country when Sania Mirza announced her engagement to Pakistani player Shoaib Mallik. Both were internationally renowned players and Cupid struck during their third meeting and started dating and within five months, they were ready to get married. Most of the people asked them to reconsider their decision of getting married. But their love conquered boundaries and found their eternity in each other.

Sania and Shoaib usually don’t talk much about their personal life and avoid answering such questions during their interviews. But yes their cute Twitter banter about each other definitely makes them a super cute couple. Recently, this Indian tennis star participated in Goa Fest 2018 and revealed having a kid and also said Shoaib wants a daughter.

Media used the opportunity and asked what would be the surname of her daughter? Sania said that she had already discussed the same with husband Shoaib Mallik.

“Today I will tell you a secret. My husband and I have spoken about it and we have decided that whenever we have a child, the child will have Mirza Malik as a surname and not just Malik. So that’s where we stand as a family including my husband. He actually wants a daughter.” said Sania answering the question about the surname of their future child.

Sania Mirza always stood up strong for the discrimination faced by the woman in the society. She recently posted a tweet about her dad, which won the hearts of the Twitterati.

Talking about her own surname, she said,

“I have not changed my surname (post marriage) and my name is still Sania Mirza and it will remain that way. The family name is going to go forward”

Sania is such a strong personality and Shoaib must surely be proud of his wifey.
