This Is What Shikhar Dhawan Has To Say About MS Dhoni, Anil kumble And Virat Kohli

The recent reforms in Team India regarding the head coach have taken the whole cricket fraternity by storm. With the pseudo fiasco in between the then coach Anil Kumble and current skipper Virat Kohli, things almost turned upside down leaving the standards of the TeamIndia in turmoil.

As of now, no Indian player has ever publicly commented anything regarding the issue. But in a recent event, the opener Shikhar Dhawan who has been in an exceptional form ever since he made a comeback to Team India proposed his opinion in public, he didn’t take a dig or anyone, nor pointed out anything, rather ended up answering humbly.

Dhawan’s astounding presence in the Champions Trophy is well appreciated by everyone, with a total 338 runs in the five matches he is in an absolute form against the West Indies too. His just in statistics reveals that he has smashed 87 and 63 in two appearances, adding a fair score to the Indian total.

When asked about his earlier form, which wasn’t much good as the current, he stated that he worked on the flaws that dragged his journey, did pretty well in the domestic matches and relaxed.

He detailed:

“Past months were quite unfortunate for me. That’s why I was out of the team. I went back and worked on myself, and am a stronger person and sportsman now. I knew I have those skills and capabilities to perform at the international level. I have been working hard and I never lost hope.”

“When I wasn’t doing well, I knew I will get out of the team. I went back and started enjoying domestic cricket. There was less pressure as compared to the international. That’s how I relaxed and stayed calm. But yes, at the back of my mind, I always knew I had to perform well to come back and serve my country and achieve my goal,” he added.

Now, when asked about the ongoing Virat Kohli and Anil Kumble’s controversy, Dhawan said:

“I didn’t play much under Anil Kumble, so cannot comment on that. Moreover, I just focus on the game. Everyone has their own individuality and character. Anil Bhai, Dhoni Bhai, and Virat, of course, all are different.”

For every god reason, India is now at 1-0 lead against West Indies, with four matches remaining, in the five-match series, the third one will be played on June 30 at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.
