But he was trolled after reacting to the latest pitch-scandal issue in MCA stadium Pune. The curator of the stadium was caught revealing the details of the pitch during the sting operation by a news channel. This even led to the possibility of the 2nd ODI between India and New Zealand being called off.

In this regard, former cricketers criticized the curator Pandurang Salgaoncar and voiced their opinions on the issue. One among them was Pakistan speedster, Shoaib Akhtar. He expressed his displeasure on his Twitter account only to get trolled by the Indian fans.

The curator was saying that the wicket is full of runs and even the score of 337 would be chased. As it turned out, the batsmen struggled to get going as the wicket slowed down and only a couple of players scored half-centuries. New Zealand posted only 230 batting first which India chased down successfully with six wickets in hand.

Shoaib Akhtar was furious over the issue and demanded a strict action saying that the reputation of the game was damaged. He wrote, “Am shocked and speechless to hear about this new #pitchfixing scandal. #INDvsNZ.”

He also tweeted, “Even if this is #pitchfixing is rumor or a joke it should be dealt with an iron fist coz the game has already been damaged a lot!!”

However, the Indian fans were not at all amused with the Rawalpindi express talking about fixing and trolled him hilariously.
