Watch: Virat Kohli At His Jovial Best With Umpire, Commentators Burst Out Laughing

In the yesterday’s play of Test match between India and England, both the teams played a psychological game. However, Indian skipper Virat Kohli held his nerve and helped his team secure a draw in the first Test at Rajkot on Sunday.

Though Indian batsmen looked steady, England bowlers have been successful in picking up Indian wickets in regular intervals. Thus, Indian batsmen had to play calm and steady and not try to hit unnecessary shots and loose wickets. Virat Kohli who was dismissed as hit wicket in the 1st innings played steady and calm in the 2nd innings.

During the play where England was trying to win the match and India trying to draw the match, Virat Kohli has managed to retain his wit in the tense situation as the team England was pushing for a win. Kohli, who does not shy away from expressing what he feels on the field, was at his jovial best as he shared a lighter moment with umpire Chris Gaffaney.

The incident took place in the 41st over, when left-arm spinner Zafar Ansari’s delivery took off and went over his shoulder. As surprised as he was, Kohli was quick to enquire whether it was one short ball for the over. He first indicated it to Gaffaney, who was at the square-leg umpire and then asked the same to Kumar Dharamasena, who was standing at the bowler’s end.
