[WATCH VIDEO] Virat Kohli Opens Up About His RETIREMENT Plans Ahead Of 29th Birthday!

Hands down! If there’s something that never stops amusing us all the time, then it is Team India’s skipper Virat Kohli. With back to back centuries in every format, Kohli has undoubtedly become the uncrowned king of cricket. Dearly called as Run Machine, Kohli recently hit his 32nd century becoming the only cricketer to do so, placing himself just behind Sachin Tendulkar.

He achieved this incomparable feat within eight years, which he started in 2009. It might be the style quotient or the flare on the ground, Indian skipper won’t leave a stone unturned in terms of perfection in everything.

While there was a slight drag during the 2014 period, Kohli made it all good for all at once in every possible way, it almost happened like rising from the ashes, Kohli is from then certainly unstoppable in cricketing terms. With the current statistics that are beyond being fantastic, Virat Kohli might definitely achieve some indefinite feats like hitting more centuries than Sachin Tendulkar did.

Altogether, India is rightfully blessed with an able hitman, captain and stylish player in one. Just like his cricketing career, his life off the field is simply the humble one. Kohli didn’t have a great grand beginning into the International career, all the stature he holds now is a timely process, starting from a normal Indian batsman, he raised bars in batting and every other work in his way to become the Team India’s captain.

About Retirement: In the recent interview ‘Breakfast with Champions’, Kohli has opened up about his retirement plans, he frankly said: “The motivation is just about winning. The day the passion ends, I will stop playing. I’ll never want to drag myself for more than my body can take.”

He even said that there were days when he used to wake up with a sense of detachment to what he was doing. But the champion came back every time by concentrating on his game and is touching greater heights now.

Talking about the same, he added, “when the feeling of pushing oneself back from failure subsides and the ability to try yet again stops, continuing from there on is impossible for a sportsperson. I’ll stop playing when I will feel I am just standing on the field without the passion and energy of winning when the game becomes more of a participation thing”. If I can’t contribute to the team, I won’t continue, the Delhi lad concluded.

On the other hand, it appeared like he is trying to take a sly dig at MS Dhoni. With the absurd change in batting position of Dhoni which happened during Kohli’s captaincy and the words uttered by Kohli on retirement, it partly looked so. Moreover, it is better to pass on the opinions, rather than judging them. After all, the duo maintains a good companionship on and off the field.
