Twitterati Had A Blast After English Cricketer Danielle Wyatt Congratulated Virat-Anushka On Their Wedding

The captain of the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli tied the knot on Monday with the love of his life Anushka Sharma in a private wedding. He tied the nuptial know away from India and the eyes of the media in Milan, Italy.

Though the duo kept the entire occasion a hush-hush not talking about the details out in the open, it was widely reported and thus known to all.  While the speculations were ripe, Virat and Anushka both turned to their social media accounts to announce their marriage to the world.

Twitter, Facebook, Instagram all social media platforms were soon flooded with congratulatory messages for the couple. Many people congratulated the duo from the cricketing fraternity. One of the special wishes to appear was from England women’s cricketer Danielle Wyatt.

Wyatt wasn’t a popular name in India until the women’s cricketer decided to propose to India’s batting star Virat Kohli back in 2014 in front of the world on Twitter. She was in awe of the class of batting Virat displayed and hence expressed it in a rather extreme way.

Once Virushka were married all his fangirls were subject to a similar question, asking their response, are you heartbroken, did you cry, etc? As soon as the news reached her, Wyatt decided to congratulate the couple and posted a message for them.

Amidst the flood of messages Wyatt’s post stood out as she wrote, “Congratulations @imVkohli & @AnushkaSharma”

It was special not just because she is an overseas cricketer but also since she was one among the millions of admirers of the Indian stalwart. Virat and the English cricketer did have a chance to meet once and the Indian skipper gifted her a bat as a gesture towards his admirer.

Wyatt apart from her cricketing exploits is famous amongst Indian fans for asking Virat to marry her. She went on to the extent of posting a tweet which read: “Kholi marry me!!!”

After Wyatt’s congratulatory message, Indian fans couldn’t help but remind her of the tweet from 2014 and also assumed how she’d have reacted to the news of her crush getting married to someone else.
