Yuvraj Singh Trolls Shikhar Dhawan Ahead Of First Test Against Sri Lanka, And The Reason Is Funny!

Indian cricket team is all set to resume playing Test cricket after almost six months. Team India seems to be all geared up for the long overseas season. Taking into consideration, they had a phenomenal run in the longest format of the game winning 5 series on the bounce. Captain Virat Kohli has led the side extremely well and also scored runs with the bat.

After ICC Champions Trophy, team India will kick start the tour of Sri Lanka on Wednesday when they play the first Test match at Galle.

Dhawan and Yuvraj

As India’s regular opener Murali Vijay was ruled out and KL Rahul suffers a shoulder injury, team India will force to g in with Shikhar Dhawan and Abhinav Mukund as openers in the first Test. Dhawan will be making a comeback in the side after missing most part of the home Test season last year.

Ahead of the first match, the top-ranked team revealed their new Test kits. The BCCI shared pictures on their Twitter handle where Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, Shikhar Dhawan, Hardik Pandya and Umesh Yadav could be seen donning India’s whites.

However, there was something unusual about Dhawan’s picture.

The left-handed batsman was wearing a pair of slippers instead of shoes which caught the attention of Yuvraj Singh and he was quick to point it out by replying on the picture.

Dhawan was also quick to respond to Yuvraj.

He replied by saying that he wasn’t expecting the entire length of the picture to go up on social media. In a cheeky statement, he also said that “it doesn’t matter” as he can still carry off the slippers with swag.

Runs in the IPL followed by a prolific performance in the ICC Champions Trophy has allowed Dhawan with an opportunity to add to his 23 Test caps.
