The AIB Roast! The hot topic that prevails till now-whether through FIRs or through arguments over tweets,has taken one more turn now. After the FIR was filed against Alia Bhatt and 14 others who were a part of the roast, Mahesh Bhatt had supported his daughter by raising this question that “if being part of 4000 people in the audience and laughing is a crime, then why the other attendees have not been named in the FIR.  Since Sonakshi is the daughter of person who is part of present dispensation was in the audience, why was she not named in the FIR?” 

On this reaction of Alia’s father, Sonakshi has replied to Mahesh Bhatt in a series of tweets clearing her point of view. She said that she too was booked in a number of meaningless cases where Alia Bhatt wasn’t, but her father Shatrughan Sinha never questioned them. She said , “Lets not give these ppl the attention they so desperately seek”

She signed off by saying, “And as far as my memory serves me, nobody EVER went to jail for laughing.”

While talking to a leading daily, Alia Bhatt‘s father had said:

Alia was a participant and also subjected to the humour. The FIR names Deepika Padukone and Alia among the participants. Why not the other 3,998 attendees of the show? More importantly, if it names celebrities in the audience, why not Sonakshi Sinha. Clearly, certain forces [hinting at Sonakshi’s father and BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha] are orchestrating this series of events. The answer is in my question.
