India: 26-Year-Old Man Killed After Being Kidnapped By Girlfriend’s Family In Rajasthan

Kota, Rajasthan: A 26-year-old man from the Jhalawar District of Rajasthan was killed after being kidnapped by the family members of his girlfriend that were opposed to their relationship.

The father, uncle, and 6 other members of the girlfriend’s family have been charged by the authorities.

According to the Ratlai Police Station, the body of Rakesh Kumar Teli, the 26-year-old victim, was found with multiple injuries.

His half-naked body was recovered by the authorities on the morning of June 19, 2020, from a field under the jurisdictions of the Rartlai Police Department.

DSP Vijayshankar Sharma said 60-year-old Radulal Lodha, the father of the girl, and 58-year-old Badrilal Lodha, the uncle of the girl, were arrested by the police.

The police are currently looking for Jagdish Lodha, Bade Singh alias Vijay Singh Lodha and 4 other members of the girlfriend’s family as they are involved in the murder of Teli.

Initial Investigations revealed that Teli, the victim, worked as a driver for the family of the accused and was in a relationship with a girl that was their family members.

Teli was spotted with the girl on the evening of Thursday, confirmed the police.

In order to get away with the crime, the family members of the girl threw the dead body of Teli, changed his clothes, stole his mobile and other belongings, before they threw his body in an empty field away from the village.

An autopsy was done in order to identify the exact cause of Teli’s death.

The dead body of the victim was handed over to his family members so they could perform the last rights.
