Mountain Lion To Be Euthanized For Attacking 3-Year-Old Boy In California Park

A mountain lion in California will be hunted down so it could be euthanized after it attacked a boy while he was walking in a park with his family.

According to reports, a 3-year-old boy was hospitalized after a mountain lion attacked him while he was walking in a park in Orange County, California.

The Orange County Fire Authority said the 3-year-old boy was with his family of 6 in the Whiting Ranch Wilderness Park in Lake Forest when the lion grabbed him by the neck and dragged him.

The Orange County Fire Authority received a call about the attack.

Capt. Tony Bommarito said the father of the 3-year-old boy threw a backpack of the animal.

The mountain lion dropped the boy and went after the backpack.

The 3-year-old boy was rushed by the family to a nearby hospital.

The kid was in a stable condition as the Orange County Sheriff’s Office evacuated the park.

The Department of Fish and Wildlife California has given the approval to euthanize the animal due to public safety threats.
