Shashi Tharoor Introduces Indian Social Media To ‘Webaqoof’ After “Exasperating Farrago”!
We all know that Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has a great ability to merge words together and turn them into magic. The problem with him is not everyone can understand his word bombs. While some of them are an exaggeration, some of them are beyond the understanding of an average reader.
He is a politician with great theatrical skills and he makes more noise on social media than in the Parliament through his debating videos and tweets.
Months after Shashi Tharoor, MP from Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram made headlines for his mind-boggling linguistic skills by introducing the Indian social media to words like ‘exasperating farrago’, MP Tharoor is in the news again as he seems to have coined a term describing people whose main source of information is almost anything on the internet.
Although he is a full-time MP, Shashi Tharoor sometimes takes to the Internet to teach a lesson or two to others in English. At times it’s on purpose, during others, it’s incidental. Tharoor is back again with his English tuition on Twitter.
Tharoor tweeted a term ‘Webaqoof’ with a definition that described someone who accepts every word or piece of information on the social media as the gospel truth. Although the word isn’t a Tharoor original and is available on a website called urbandictionary.com, the tweet created a buzz on social media as people couldn’t stop talking about Tharoor’s wit and how he always comes back to trolls.
