A girl in Mexico was crossing the road in haste But due to the high heels sandals, she slipped. During this time a car coming from her right side took her in its grip. This dangerous accident caught up in the CCTV.
According to the police, the 22-year-old Minerva was talking to the phone while crossing. During this time, she wanted to cross the road. As soon as she reached the third lane, sandals slipped because of high heels. Then a car coming from the other side took hir in its grip. Although the speed of the car was not high and the driver instantly put the brake. Minerva’s life was saved, but her knee and elbow had a fracture.
What could have been a disastrous accident, luckily resulted in just some fractures? This is not the first case like this, not all are lucky like her, and many have lost their lives due to ignorant behavior on the road.
In China, due to this government has made special kind of lights on a zebra crossing. Whenever anyone is crossing the road looking at their phone, they will have eyes on what color is the traffic signal. So that the accident due to ignorance of people could be minimized.
People don’t take traffic rule seriously, and many have lost their lives in an accident which could have been easily avoided.
In India as well we see a lot of cases like this.
“People using a mobile phone and taking selfies while driving are increasingly posing a greater risk to themselves and others as well,” road transport minister Nitin Gadkari said in a statement regarding this issue.
“Texting or taking selfies while driving or walking on the road is a big traffic risk. People are addicted to them. There is under-reporting of such offenses as it’s difficult to specify the cause,” Delhi police special commissioner (traffic) Ajay Kashyap said.
What really surprises us is even with such high number of accidents due to these reasons, people just don’t stop. We highly advise to all our readers to avoid such mistakes while on the road. Driving or on foot, follow the traffic rules. Your life is precious, stay safe.
