Imagine a situation, when all of a sudden your smartphone decides to spontaneously combust! That’s what happened to ‎Ajay Raj Negi, Xiaomi Mi4i user. ‎

Last week, he posted to the Mi Mobile Facebook page about his phone exploding while in use. The incident happened on July 16, 2016 while he was in his office around his other co workers. The user managed to get a copy of his work place’s CCTV footage which shows the Mi4i smoke and then explode in a flash.

Luckily the situation was under control and no one was severely hurt during the incident. This isn’t the first time a Xiaomi phone has caught fire and exploded, with the less recent incident happening back in 2013.
