Bangladeshi Bowler Leaks 92 Runs In 4 Balls In A Bid To Protest Against Unfair Umpiring

Now, kicking aside everything here’s this Bangladeshi bowler who swiftly protested against the biased umpiring by giving off 92 runs within 4 balls in a mere four deliveries to deliberately lose a match, can be called as an impossible task.
In the 50-over game of Dhaka Second Division League held on 11 April, the country’s popular team Lalmatia Club was dismissed for just 88 runs in 14 overs before their opponents Axiom Cricketers notched up the paltry total in just four deliveries.
Here at this situation, Lalmatia’s opening bowler Mahmud did some strange act by sending down 13 wides and three no-balls in the very first over willfully. As he planned, all those deliveries raced away to the boundary, costing his side a further 80 runs.
And on the other side, Axiom opener Mustafizur Rahman struck three fours in four legitimate deliveries to seal the game in just 0.4 overs and register a 10-wicket win in the Capital’s City Club ground, Dhaka.
Sources claim that this strange deed of Mahmud was pre-planned and he did it in a bid to protest the biased umpiring. “Throughout the league, we were subjected to poor and biased umpiring,” said secretary Adnan.
Adnan further added that the Umpire didn’t even let the Team-Lamatia’s captain have a glance at the tossed coin. “They tossed the coin and said: Okay you bat. Very soon we found our team had lost five wickets for just 11 runs inside seven overs,” he said.
Meanwhile, BCB spokesperson Jalal Yunus said:
“This is very unusual…so many wides and no-balls. We have asked match officials to submit a report in this regard. Once we’ve received the report, we will launch a formal investigation.”
Despite this, earlier there was an another incident on 4th April, when one of the Bangladesh national dailies reported that digital manipulation was practiced in the league during a relegation play-off match involving Kathal Bagan Green Crescent Club and North Bengal Cricket Academy at Jahangirnagar University in Savar, Dhaka.
